Discovering Your True Inner Dancer

It's Strictly Come Dancing Season on the TV and for many of us it is our "guilty pleasure". We dance around our lounges, engrossed in the razzmatazz of  the Strictly Vibe, loving the different mood of each dance.

For me there is a wonderful link between the feel good BBC programme and the tranformational power of the Vital Development system.  Both take people on a journey and both focus exclusively on uplifting those involved.

Dancing is truly a quick and easy way to improve your life and with Vital Development there is no stress about learning any steps - so even better!!!

Isabella Florshutz and I are collaborating to offer a special workshop on Saturday 24th October "Vital Danza Meets Strictly Come Dancing."  We are both huge fans of the show, loving the glamour and beauty of it all. Starting Today: Dance For Joy in Nature

Every Tuesday 2-3.45pm at The Yoga Garden near Storrington.

This is a special opportunity to dance from your heart in an amazing location. The Yurt at The Yoga Garden is situated at the very foot of South Downs near Storrington in West Sussex. The Yoga Garden nestles in the fields, horses and wildflowers and evokes a sense of calm and well-being to all who visit.

 

We will begin our journey in the beautiful hand crafted Mongolian style Yurt, which has a smooth wooden floor, and then venture outside and dance in nature, weather permitting.

You will feel connected to your environment and energised by the experience......





Price £10. Beginners most welcome. ♥

‘I love the venue for the new Vital Danza  group – the Yoga Garden yurt in Storrington.  I loved dancing in a round space, no dark corners away from the light.  It was great to able to dance outside in nature when the weather permitted.  And it was surprisingly easy to reach from East Brighton, courtesy of the Brighton by-pass.  Altogether, the yurty experience added to the delights of Vital Danza.’  (T.B. What is Vital Danza?

Vital Danza is a dance class with a difference - there are NO steps to learn.

Who is Helen?

Sessions are professional led and suitable for anyone regardless of experience. Helen is a warm and welcoming facilitator, with over 13 years experience of running groups. She is very motivating and has a positive, humorous approach and her sessions are relaxed and enjoyable.

The First in a NEW series of Videos - sharing how the exercises of Vital Development can improve your health and happiness.

An exercise to de-stress, stop worrying and help you sleep.

Our culture promotes rational, logical thought as the "best" way to function in our society. We prize success in intellectual education and "hard-nosed business".  If we have a problem we right lists and weigh up the pros and cons.  This lifestyle often leaves us feeling pressurised, stressed, worried and unable to sleep soundly at night.

However, there is another way to be that is more relaxed, accepting and peaceful.  One way towards living like this is to be more embodied.  This means being more aware and focused on the feelings in our body, basing decisions on instincts, intuition and  gut reactions rather than trying to work in all out and "get it right"!
If this seems like a good idea but difficult to achieve Vital Danza can help Each class is carefully designed so that you can release the tension in your body, have fun, feel more joyful and then deeply relax in a supportive and caring environment.  

Here I wish to share with you just one of the many exercises that I know will help you de-stress, stop worrying and get better sleep.

Of course,  Vital Danza is designed to be practised in a group setting. The facilitator will carefully plan a unique sequence of exercises for each class to enable the best experience for each participate. Congratulations the Friday Group is Open to New Participants


Last week marked the one year anniversary of me running a weekly Friday night session at the Tree of Life Centre in Hove.  I want to celebrate this group and all the lovely people who have attend over the year, whether came once or twice or you are one of the wonderful regular dancers -each and every person added something unique to our joint experience.


The Tree of Life Studio is such a gorgeous place to dance it has a safe and comfortable atmosphere which enables participants to be confident and creative in their individual expression and authentic interaction.

Although each week the class can feel very different I am also following the tried and tested Vital Development system that is taught all over the world.  
  • First, we dance to energising, joyful music to release stress, come into the body and the present moment.
  • Second, we play with creative expression and embody a wide range of postive feelings.
  • Third,  we slow down and become more aware of our internal world.
  • Fourth, we incorporate gentle, sensitive healing touch.
  • Lastly,  relax into the heart and allow our well-being and happiness to expand.                         
These sessions are suitable for beginners, you do NOT need to be a good dancer, simply ready to enjoy a fun, uplifting and empowering evening.
